Tuesday, March 11th Neighborhood Meeting

We invite you to the next Houghton Neighborhood Association (HNA) neighbor meeting on Tuesday, March 11th, 6:00 pm at Northwest University in the HSC Auditorium. See attached graphic and follow “blue event” signs to parking.  

HNA has been tracking the developments around this Kirkland City Council/King County joint, low barrier hotel, housing program since inception. Tuesday, you’ll hear an update from Plymouth Housing, the operator of the Permanent Supportive Housing facility followed by a panel discussion with representatives from City of Kirkland Homelessness Response, Plymouth Housing, King County Homelessness and the Kirkland Police Department. Then, we turn it over to YOU! Ask your questions, provide your feedback. #yourcommunityyourvoice

La Quinta Low Barrier Housing Project in the NEWS this week: A text on Friday, Feb. 28th, by the CEO of significant South Kirkland employer, INRIX, announcing that security concerns around the La Quinta facility were a significant contributor to his company’s planned departure from Kirkland, on the social media site X, generated wide spread media coverage from Komo News, King 5 News, independent journalist, Jonathan Choe on X, the Puget Sound Business Journal, Kiro 7 News and KTTH Radio and My Northwest.com to name a few.
