What To Expect At Our All Generations Celebration:
This HNA Soiree is the biggest Kirkland neighborhood party of the summer! Come build, reconnect and celebrate our greater Houghton community! There is ample campus parking but, you are encouraged to walk or roll your way to the fun. (ADA accessible)
Tables and chairs will be available for eating, but to make this a true picnic, consider bringing your own picnic blanket, foldable chairs, picnic basket, lawn toys or even a small umbrella if its a hot day. Here is the line up:
Reggae tunes from local musicians, “The Highlife Band”
Back by popular demand: LWHS jazz band “The Guys From Ipanema”

Celebrating the Independence of Our Great Country and a United Houghton Neighborhood!

American Flags lined 108th Avenue NE to celebrate US Independence Day!
Thank you to the Houghton neighbor who came up with the idea to line 108th with American flags for 4th of July weekend. Several volunteers took a section to cover. We got dozens of gestures of thanks from surprised, grateful neighbors and their guests. Do you have a great idea to share with HNA? Keep ‘em coming!

With primary election ballots dropping July 15th, now is the time to make a plan to vote!
Position 3 has drawn four contenders: Clayton Barnes, Gina Madeya, Catie Malik and Shilpa Prem all vying for the seat of retiring city councilmember Penny Sweet.
Position 7 has three contenders: Kurt Dresner, Jon Pascal (incumbent) and Susan Pederson.
The top two vote getters for each seat will proceed to the November general election.
